Split Congress and the Executive Branch the same way as the courts. The Congress page is now two cards, for the Senate and the House, each with a page of its own whose picker goes back through every Congress. The Executive Branch page is now two cards, for the President and the Cabinet and for the White House staff.
Added a map view to the Courts of Appeals: flip the switch and every judge slides onto a map of the states each court covers, as on the Congress pages.
Split the Judicial Branch into its own pages. The Judicial Branch page is now two cards, one for the Supreme Court and one for the Courts of Appeals. The Supreme Court page shows every Court, today’s Roberts Court included, with the same bench, slider and picker throughout. The appeals courts have a page of their own.
The arrows beside the Supreme Court slider now carry on from one Court to the next: › at the last change opens the next Court at its start, and ‹ at the first change goes back to the end of the one before.
Made the Congress and Supreme Court pages easier to use on phones: the picker and its arrows are now big outlined buttons, the Court slider has a larger handle and arrow buttons, and tapping a seat shows who it is first, with a second tap opening their page.
The Congress and Supreme Court pickers now sit in a bar of their own under the top bar, on phones and computers alike, so you can move between Congresses and Courts on a phone too (before, phones hid the picker).
Added a slider under every past Supreme Court to step through each change in its membership, from the day it began to the day it ended: who joined, who died, retired or resigned, and when Congress added or abolished a seat.
Spaced out the justices’ seats on the Supreme Court bench, on the Judicial Branch page and every past Court, so the circles no longer touch or overlap.
Fixed portraits on the past Supreme Court and past Congress pages showing only initials when you hovered over the same seat a second time.
Added every past Supreme Court, from the Jay Court (1789) to the Rehnquist Court (2005), with a Court picker on the Judicial Branch page. Each seat has a portrait, is colored by the appointing President’s party, and shows everyone who held it and why they left, including the few who were confirmed but turned the seat down, and the seats Congress added and abolished as the Court grew from 6 to 10 and settled at 9.
Reorganized the site’s files. The Government Visualization Website and the Old Website now live under /projects/ with the other projects, and their old addresses redirect there.
Monday, October 26, 2026
Fixed the pop-ups on the past Congress pages showing up squashed, with the text spilling over the seats, in Firefox.
Added every remaining Congress, the 8th through the 118th (1803–2025), to the Congress picker. Each one has its seats and parties, who joined or left and why, and a map of the states and territories as they were when it ended. Members from the 8th on show initials for now; portraits will come later.
Added the 4th through 7th Congresses (1795–1803), the first with real parties: Federalists and Democratic-Republicans. Each has its seats, portraits, seat changes and a map of its time, from Tennessee’s statehood to the Indiana and Mississippi Territories and Ohio.
The Chamber / Map switch now stays where you left it when you move to another Congress, for the Senate and the House separately.
Added ‹ and › buttons beside the Congress picker to step to the previous or next Congress.
Added the 2nd Congress (1791–1793) and 3rd Congress (1793–1795) to the Congress picker, each with its seats, portraits, seat changes and a map of the states as they were then, now including Vermont and Kentucky.
The Government Visualization Website moved from kasperbielecki.com/congress-site/ to kasperbielecki.com/government/, since it now covers more than Congress. Old links still work and go to the same page at the new address.
The 1st Congress now has a Chamber / Map switch, with a map of the states as they were in March 1791: Maine still part of Massachusetts, Kentucky part of Virginia, and the Northwest and Southwest Territories.
The Government Visualization Website now has the same dark mode switch as the rest of the site, on every page, and remembers your choice across both. Its pages now all go by the same name: browser tabs read “U.S. Congress · Government Visualization Website” and so on, and the link back to the main page says “Government Visualization Website” instead of “Federal Government”.
Added the 1st Congress (1789–1791) to the Congress picker: all 26 senators and 65 representatives, sorted into Pro- and Anti-Administration, with portraits and everyone who changed seats along the way.
The “119th Congress · 2025–2027” label on the Congress page is now a drop-down listing every Congress back to the 1st (1789–1791).
Sunday, October 25, 2026

New card pictures: Scrap Lab now shows its website’s home page with the material swatches, and the Product Design Professional Practice & Entrepreneurship class shows my business card instead of the garden tools.
Design Platform Project Parts 1–3, the Individual Full-Sentence Outline and the Scrap Lab Presentation from Intro to Design Studies are now part of the Scrap Lab page, under the paper and videos. They no longer have their own cards.
Renamed “Week 2 Response” in Digital Infrastructure and Network Activism to “Questions on Technology and Infrastructure”.
Split Homework 11 and the Weekly Exercises from Code Toolkit Python into five pages named after what the code does: Hello Repeater, Text File Editor, Cookbook, Word Dictionary and Multiplayer Squares. Each has its own card in the Archive.
The Topic Proposal, Written Project Proposal and Tentative Work Cited Document from Ballparks Fields and Skyscrapers are now part of the History of Nathan’s Hotdog Eating Contest page, under the mural. They no longer have their own cards.

Each has its own card in the Archive.

Took the resume page off the end of the Work Sample in Portfolio Publication and Dynamic Media.
Removed the Products in Motion placeholder from Product Design Studio 4 and the Archive. That assignment was the Comic Sock, which already has its own page.
The Arduino code for the Murphy bed lights is now at the bottom of the Automated Lighting for a Murphy Bed Room page, from the first sensor test to the final version. The separate Arduino Sketches page is gone.
Removed the Crate & Barrel Garden Tools project from my Product Design Professional Practice and Entrepreneurship class and from the Archive.
The Hess Triangle Site Visit is now part of the Hess Triangle Audio Walk page, with the site visit notes at the bottom. It no longer has its own card.
Friday, October 16, 2026
Every card on the site now looks the same as on the homepage: picture, then title, then year, instead of the title appearing on hover. Every class in the School view now has a picture too.
WatchOrder.TV’s card has a new picture: the site as it looks now, rebuilt by hand off Webflow, instead of the old Webflow version.
Thursday, October 15, 2026
The Comic Sock Pitch Deck is now part of the Comic Sock page, so it no longer has its own card in the Archive or on the Professional Practice page.
Added a page for the Backgammon Board with its photos and 3D render, and its cards on the homepage and in the Archive now open it.
Added Street Seats, Precious Plastics Cutting Boards, Dice Holder and P9L Chair to A Few Things I’ve Made on the homepage, and sorted that section newest first.
Renamed the Street Seats Model project to just Street Seats, and its card now shows a photo of the finished seats and planters.
Moved the Maker Coin in the Archive from 2023 to 2016.
Added 131 photos from the Street Seats class Instagram (@streetseats23), from its posts and story highlights, to the Street Seats Model page, in the order they were posted.
The Omni-Book page now only shows the Omni-Book. The capstone pitch posters and process photos for my other projects moved to their own pages: Coffee Grounds Bio-Material, Stool Manufacturing, and Comic Sock, which now also has its longform capstone pitch.
Added the comic corner boxes from my capstone to the Omni-Book page.
Added two Integrative Studio 1 pages from Fall 2019: my Final Book and my response to the “My Stroke of Insight” talk.
Added PSONE, a render from Product Design Studio 2.
Added a page for my Precious Plastics cutting boards from Summer 2022.
Wednesday, October 14, 2026
The Unravel Codes card on the Link Tree now uses the real Unravel Codes logo (the ball of yarn and book), in black like the other logos.
Took down the About page for now, and removed the About link from the top of every page.
The About page now has all my bios and artist’s statements in one place: my current bio, my Fall 2022 Artist’s Statement, and my 2019 bio from my First-Semester Reflection, each under its own heading.
Added Unravel Codes, a game my dad is making, to the Link Tree.
The Dice Holder card now shows the cork render instead of the gray one.
The cork Dice Tray and Dice Holder were the same project, so the Archive now has just the Dice Holder card. Its page now also shows the cork render and links to the 3D model on Thangs.
The Omni-Book now has just one card in the Archive. Its 3D model card is gone, and the Omni-Book page links to the model on Thangs instead.
The Omni-Book’s 3D model card in the Archive now uses the same picture as its other cards, instead of the poster.
Added a short explanation of what a PechaKucha is above its slides on the Coffee Grounds Bio-Material page, and removed the old GIF page.
Combined my coffee projects into one Coffee Grounds Bio-Material page. The PechaKucha and GIF from Portfolio Publication and Dynamic Media and the Bodum pour over coozie mold now sit on that page instead of having their own cards in the Archive, and the old PechaKucha and GIF links go straight to it.
Every project page’s title now matches the name on its card. The D&D Character Generator page is now titled “D&D Character Generator Twitter Bot”, and the main page of the government site is now titled “Government Visualization Website”.
Made project names match everywhere they appear. On the Radical Software and Defining Place class pages, three projects now use the same names as on the home page and in the Archive: “Privacy Not Included” Browser Extension, D&D Character Generator Twitter Bot, and The Great Emu War Monument. Every project’s picture was already the same everywhere.
Shortened the Squirrel Census Data Visualization project’s name to just “Squirrel Census”.
The Stool Manufacturing and Coffee Grounds Bio-Material cards now use the original photos the capstone posters were made from: the six finished stools, and coffee being poured into the coffee-grounds cup.
Added the comic-book capstone pitch posters to the bottom of the Stool Manufacturing and Coffee Grounds Bio-Material pages.
New picture for the Comic Sock card: the sock half folded, with comics in its pockets.
The Stool Manufacturing and Coffee Grounds Bio-Material posters now sit on a blurred copy of themselves instead of the plain page.
The Stool Manufacturing and Coffee Grounds Bio-Material cards now show the comic-book posters I made for them in my capstone, with the whole poster showing and the page visible on either side.
Renamed the Factory project from my Build Your Own Factory class to “Stool Manufacturing”, and split its page into two parts: The Stool, then The Process of making it.
The Government Visualization Website card’s picture is now just the three branch charts, with Congress across the top and the Executive Branch and Supreme Court underneath, without the page’s text.
Renamed the Federal Government project to “Government Visualization Website” on the home page and in the Archive, and gave its card a new picture: the main page with all three branches, instead of the old Senate chart.
The Hardware and Ash Trays cards now show their two pieces in opposite corners, with more room around each.
Like Furniture, the Fancy Corner Bracket and Key Hole Fastener now share a Hardware page, and the two ash trays share an Ash Trays page. Each has one card in the Archive under 2026.
The Chronological and School views of the Archive are now two tabs at the top of the page.
The Bug’s page now links to its 3D model on Thangs.
The Bug now has its own page under my Cork class, and its card in the Archive moved from 2026 to 2023.
The Furniture card in the Archive now shows nine of the pieces together. The Fancy Corner Bracket is back in the Archive as its own card.
The furniture 3D models now live together on one Furniture page instead of filling up the Archive. The Archive has a single Furniture card under 2026 that opens it.
Added Real Tea Realty to what I’m currently working on, on the home page.
Real Tea Realty’s card in the Archive now uses the red house-and-mug picture from its YouTube channel.
Added Real Tea Realty to the Archive under 2025. For now its card opens the Real Tea Realty YouTube channel.
New picks for A Few Things I’ve Made on the home page: the Backgammon Board, the Comic Sock, Factory, Coffee Grounds Bio-Material, the Wine Opener, the Squirrel Census data visualization, the Hess Triangle Audio Walk and the Subway Songlines website join the Omni-Book and the D&D Character Generator Twitter bot. The others are still in the Archive.
The site now opens in dark mode for everyone, whatever your device is set to. The switch still remembers if you change it.
The dark mode toggle is now a little sliding switch, with a sun on the left and a moon on the right, and sits on its own at the right end of the menu bar. The menu links moved over to the left, next to my name.
Every project now has just one page. 29 Learning Portfolio posts were near copies of a project page, so they’re gone, and the note at the bottom of each project now links straight to the original post on my Parsons Learning Portfolio. Posts that aren’t part of a project still have their own pages.
Tidied the Drawing and Imaging page: each Learning Portfolio post was the same work as one of its projects, so the page now shows each project once.
The Learning Portfolio posts on each class page are now cards too, with a picture from each post.
The projects on each class page are now cards, the same as in the Archive, instead of a list of links.
Added 45 more school pages: smaller papers, exams, reading responses and proposals from nine classes; all my coding homework from Code Toolkit, Code as a Liberal Art, Social Inequity and Hypertools; Kitsch & Chaos; the Great Emu War board; Teachable Machine projects; and the Cork sifter. Code pages scroll sideways on small screens.
Filled in 39 more class pages with pictures, videos and my original papers, from Dynamic Media, Models & Mockups, History of Design, Materials & Manufacturing, Integrative Seminar 1, Objects as History, Sustainable Systems, Process Drawing, Studio 1, CAID, Code Toolkit, Digital Infrastructure, Human Factors, Ballparks, Build Your Own Factory, Intro to Design Studies and Social Inequity. Every class page is now in the Archive.
Filled in the Coffee Grounds Bio-Material page from Product Design Studio 3 with my final presentation and models of the coffee-ground coozie and its molds; its Archive card now has a picture.
Fixed the acknowledgements list on the Omni-Book page.
The Omni-Book, Right to Repair, Artist’s Statement and Murphy bed lighting pages now use my own writing from my capstone book and class papers. The rest of today’s new class pages are pictures only for now.
Added two more projects from Product Design Studio 4, also in the Archive under 2022: the Comic Sock and a 3D-printed keyboard.
Filled in my Year 4 classes at Parsons with 13 new project pages, each also in the Archive: Studio 5 (plant and insect profiles, a cicada social media campaign, a fill material price comparison, 3D-printed fabric swatches), Rhino I (a coffee machine and weekly exercises), Hypertools (the Murphy bed lighting write-up), Advanced Research Seminar (Right to Repair and my artist’s statement), Professional Practice (the Comic Sock pitch deck, Crate & Barrel garden tools, my logo and business cards), Cork (a dice holder) and Street Seats (our team’s model).
The Omni-Book is now in the Archive under 2023 and on the home page in A Few Things I’ve Made.
Added my capstone, the Omni-Book, to the Product Design Studio 6 page: a folding E-Ink reader made for comics, with the pitches, sketches, renders and the 3D-printed prototype.
The Link Tree’s links are now square cards, laid out the same way as the projects in the Archive, each with that site’s logo above its name.
Added my 33 3D models from Thangs to the Archive; each card opens that model on Thangs.
Renamed the Past Projects section on the home page to “A Few Things I’ve Made”.
Shortened WatchOrder.TV’s title on the home page and in the Archive to just “WatchOrder.TV”.
Moved WatchOrder.TV from past projects up to what I’m currently working on.
Took the introduction off the top of the home page, so it opens straight onto what I’m currently working on. The About page still has more about me.
What I’m currently working on now looks just like a past project on the home page: a picture with its title and year underneath, without the longer description.
Every project on the home page is now the same size as the ones in the Archive, five to a row on a large screen, including what I’m currently working on. Added four more past projects so they fill two full rows: the ARK Industries website, the Cookie Clicker browser game, the “Privacy Not Included” browser extension, and the D&D Character Generator Twitter bot. Took the Archive link off the bottom of the home page; the Archive is still in the menu at the top.
Tuesday, October 13, 2026
New home page: a short introduction, what I’m currently working on, and six past projects, with a link to the Archive for everything else.
The Archive now has two views you can switch between at the top. Chronological shows every project by year, the way the home page used to. School shows my classes, grouped by school and semester.
Tidied the Executive and Judicial Branch pictures on the Federal Government page: the Cabinet’s dots now sit neatly inside the band around the table, and the Supreme Court justices are now simple dots instead of little person icons.
Monday, October 12, 2026
The Executive and Judicial Branch cards on the Federal Government page now have pictures, each based on how that branch has traditionally been pictured: the Cabinet around its table, seen from above, with the President and Vice President across from each other and White House staff along the walls; and the nine justices posed as in the Supreme Court’s official group portrait.
Added a Judicial Branch page to the Federal Government site: the nine Supreme Court justices in their seats on the bench, and every judge on the 13 federal appeals courts, colored by the party of the President who appointed them. Hover over anyone to see who they are. The Judicial Branch card now links to it.
Added a White House Staff section to the Executive Branch page: the President, the Chief of Staff and 15 senior aides as an org chart, grouped by what they do. Hover over anyone to see their photo and job.
Every House seat on the U.S. Congress site now shows who’s on the ballot this November: in the pop-up when you hover over a seat, and on each member’s page and each empty seat’s page. Some challengers don’t have photos yet and show their initials.
Added official photos for the 12 newest members of the House, who used to show initials, and photos for the 15 Senate candidates who didn’t have one, so everyone on the Congress site now has a photo. The site keeps its own copies.
Fixed a bug on the U.S. Congress site where hovering over a seat could briefly show the previous member’s photo before the right one loaded.
Added an Executive Branch page to the Federal Government site, styled like the Congress page: the President and Vice President as dots in the middle, with the 23 members of the Cabinet in a circle around them, colored by party. Hover over a dot to see their official portrait and details. The site keeps its own copies of the portraits. The Executive Branch card now links to it.
Friday, October 9, 2026
Updated the friend's project on the unlisted page to their latest version.
Started hosting a friend's project on this site, on an unlisted page.
Thursday, October 8, 2026
The Legislative Branch card on the Federal Government page now has a picture of Congress: every seat in the House and Senate as a dot colored by party, inside a band for Congress as a whole. The small gray subheadings under each branch's name are gone.
On the U.S. Congress site, clicking an empty House seat now opens a page explaining why it’s empty: who held it, when and why they left, and how the seat gets filled. Hovering over an empty seat also shows how long it has been empty.
On the Federal Government page, each card's heading is now the branch's name (Legislative, Executive, Judicial), with Congress, the President and the Courts underneath.
Added a Federal Government page above the U.S. Congress site, with a card for each branch. Congress now lives one level down, with a link back up in its top bar. The homepage card is now called Federal Government.
Changed the site's font to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a font designed by the Braille Institute to be easy to read. The site keeps its own copy of the font.
Wednesday, October 7, 2026
Photos on project pages now shrink to fit the height of your screen, so you can always see a whole photo without scrolling.
Monday, October 5, 2026
Renamed the School tab to Archive. Old links to the School page still work and lead to the Archive.
Friday, October 2, 2026
Made this log easier to read: entries are grouped under a heading for each day, with the time in its own column.
Added my Parsons Learning Portfolio (2020) as a project. Filled in 21 first-year school projects with their write-ups and photos from it, so they now show pictures on the home page. Also added five first-year projects that weren't on the site yet: Context Is Decisive, Photo Practice, One Week's Trash, Slingshot Pencil Case, and Object Drawings. Added the original project proposal to The Great Emu War Monument.
Copied all 41 posts from my first-year Parsons Learning Portfolio (2019–2020), with their photos and audio, onto this site. Each class page now has a Learning Portfolio section listing its posts. Added an Orientation page to the School page for the three posts from before classes started.
Your browser now checks for updates to this site on every visit, so changes like the dark mode toggle show up without a hard refresh.
Added 63 school projects to the home page as gray tiles, each with a placeholder page until I upload its documentation. Every project named on a Parsons class page is now a link. The Emu War Memorial, the D&D Twitter Bot, and the Privacy Not Included extension link to the pages they already had.
Added a dark mode toggle to the header. The site starts in dark mode if your device is set to it, and remembers your choice.
The site now keeps its own copies of files it used to load from other sites: jQuery for the old website's Code as a Liberal Art project, and the Senate candidate photos on the Congress site.
Hovering over a project picture now dims it and shows the project's title. Added pictures for Cookie Clicker and the D&D Character Generator, and gave projects more descriptive names.
Sorted the link tree alphabetically.
Added my StreetEasy profile to the link tree.
Added the Lion Cub Development and ARK Industries websites (2024), which I built for work from a Webflow template.

Added an About page copied from my old website, and an About link in the header.
