0:00 Music fade-in is effective.
0:18 Opening narration level needs to be adjusted. Voice is too low.
0:18-0:54 Fantastic background audio that helps immerse the listener into a different time and place. I believe the fact that you recorded your voice-over onsite is very effective in transporting the viewer there themselves.
0:54-1:18 Once again effective background noise. It makes me feel like I am in the building and listening there myself. The levels, however, do need to be adjusted I would suggest a fade to almost bare minimum for the background. The context of the fade would help the ear pick up on the super low audio without having it step on the toes of the narration.
1:18-1:46 The audio of another person talking really captures my attention. The switch of voices almost forces me to refocus and re-assess what I’m listening to.
Around 2:30 The music fade in could be a little less dramatic and a little later. It falls over the voice narration and in a way interrupts it.
3:29 -3:48 The audio levels of the music go above the audio of the speech and so I felt like I needed to turn the volume down myself.
Final comments/ summary
The content of the audio walk is very efficiently composed and narrated. The information is informative and intriguing. The levels of the piece need to be played with so that the stellar background noise is not overpowering the informative voice over. If the levels are adjusted I would have a tough time finding anything else to change in the piece and would feel as if it were much more immersive.
